OK, To actually answer your question and give some real measurements. I know the M&P compacts are slightly larger than the G26 in height but since most G26s I see have the finger extensions on the mags I think it about evens out. It feels like a pretty small package to me. 25" to the thickness of the weapon and only. Muzzle height: 1.53" (Measured from the bottom of the light rail to the top of the slide)īTW, carried in my Peters Custom holster the Max width of the weapon in the holster is 1.43". Grip Frame Width parallel to the trigger: 1.08" (but it tapers slightly thinner towards the trigger) Max Grip Frame Width: 1.30" (medium insert) Max Height: (Measured from the bottom of the mag to the top of the slide) Trigger Reach: 2.63" (with trigger at rest) Overall Length: 6.7" (from the web, by calipers only went up to 6 inch) Max Width: 1.28" (across the ambi slide catch) Max Slide Width: 1.09" (1.03 across the contoured part of the slide from the extractor forward) This isn't so I can throw it in someone's face, I just want to know. Here are some of the measurements I find a lot more useful and I'm hoping someone can post more of the same for the G26 for comparison. This is really a poor measurement because it really has no effect on the actual width of the slide, frame, or how it carries.

On the M&P its across the ambidextrous slide stop. You see, one measurement you will always see listed by the manufacturers is OVERALL width which is always taken form the widest point on the pistol. I'm hoping one of you fine gentlemen that actually owns a G26 (or G27 for that matter) can help me out with a few measurements. In fact, when I got out the dial calipers and took some real measurements he clammed up and refused to provide some of the same measurements for his G26. From the specs online this just doesn't seem to hold up. One poster even said the M&P was just SO wide and bulky he carries his G26 instead. It is more often compared to the G19, the midsized brother of the G26. Several times on other gun boards Glock owners have argued the M&P 9c is just TOO large compared to the G26.
